At the southern most tip of Malaysian peninsular and Asian continent, lies a coastal village with striking picturesqueness and serenity. Known as Teluk Ramunia, where reserves of bauxite are worked here, is also the home of Teluk Ramunia Yard.
Established and commenced operations in 1981, Teluk Ramunia Yard has long been associated with the rapid development of Malaysian oil and gas industry. The country's first jacket ever to be fabricated was constructed at Teluk Ramunia Yard for Duyong Gas Development Project, a collaboration with Petronas Carigali and was successfully completed in 1984.
Acquired in 2001, Teluk Ramunia Yard is comprised of 2 distinct purpose-built steel fabrication facilities, namely Fabrication Yard 1 and Fabrication Yard 2. With combined land area of 36.422 hectares (approximately 90 acres), both facilities can undertake steel fabrication of offshore platforms of approximately 21,000 metric tonnes and 10,000 metric tonnes respectively.
