RAMUNIA HOLDINGS BHD'S wholly-owned subsidiary, Ramunia Fabricators Sdn Bhd, is set to carry out hook-up and commissioning work at the Semarang oil field off the coast of Sabah.

In a circular to Bursa Malaysia, Ramunia said the job was the first work order to be won by Ramunia Fabricators under the umbrella contract that Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd awarded for its offshore facilities for the 2004-2007 period.

The initial value of the order is about RM1 million and work is expected to commence next month, according to Ramunia Fabricators Managing Director, Arshad Ahmad.

Ramunia is set to make its debut on the Bursa Malaysia second board on Friday.
